Why we built it this way
When something spills, you don’t want a story. You want to know what not to do first (the mistakes that set a stain permanently), then the steps that actually lift it. Every entry follows the same structure so you always know where to look: the time-sensitive move, the fabric care-code check, the ordered method, a household fix and a product fix, and a separate plan for stains that have already dried.
How we handle accuracy
A wrong method can ruin a garment or a surface for good, so we treat this as advice that matters. Methods are written against established textile and cleaning guidance, we flag the genuinely risky steps — bleach on colors, hot water on protein stains, hydrogen peroxide on dark or delicate fabric, solvents without ventilation — and we tell you plainly when a stain is beyond a home fix. We favor the household method first, then recommend a specific product only when it genuinely works better.
